BCCC Teachers. Our staff are bilingual, certified teachers, who are continually working to enhance their professional development at local colleges and universities and through on-going professional development.  At Barbara Chambers Children's Center, youngsters enjoy coming to the BCCC because it feels like home: they can identify with teachers who look like hem and speak in their own language. At the BCCC parents and children share their cultural traditions while also learning to socialize with peers from different backgrounds.

Volunteers: The Barbara Chambers Children's Center is a welcoming place to volunteers. The Madeira High School in Mclean, VA, has been supporting us for over ten years by sending a group of students every Wednesday to work with our children and their teachers. Georgetown University also supports a Jump Start before-and-after care program at our facilities. University students work with one-on-one students to help them prepare academically for school.
